Food Preparation and Cooking
Prepare ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, marinating, and seasoning as required.
Cook dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.

Kitchen Organization and Cleanliness
Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen at all times.
Wash and sanitize cooking utensils, equipment, and surfaces regularly.
Properly store ingredients to prevent spoilage and contamination.
Ensure waste is disposed of according to hygiene and safety guidelines.
Stock and Inventory Management
Monitor kitchen stock levels and update management on shortages.
Assist in receiving deliveries, checking the quality and quantity of ingredients.
Rotate stock to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
Use ingredients efficiently to control costs.
Food Quality and Presentation
Ensure consistent taste, texture, and appearance of all dishes.
Arrange and present meals attractively on plates before serving.
Conduct taste checks and make adjustments to recipes as needed.
Safety, Hygiene, and Compliance
Follow food safety and hygiene standards strictly.
Comply with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
Report any hazards, accidents, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
Teamwork and Communication
Work closely with other kitchen staff, waiters, and management to ensure smooth operations.
Assist in training new kitchen staff or temporary workers when required.
Communicate clearly about order requirements, timing, and stock issues.
Key Requirements, Skills and Qualification
Diploma or certificate in the hospitality management
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a cook in a busy restaurant or similar setting
Proven knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen operations
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work under pressure and handle high-volume orders
Good time management and organizational skills
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately
