Coordinator, KRPN Program
Reporting to the LEAD, SCHOOL OF NURSING.
Purpose: To provide support in leadership, direction and co-ordination within the KRPN program and ensure quality Improvement and maintenance of effective KRPN program.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in effective management of the KRPN Program
- Oversee effective implementation of the approved KRPN curriculum
- Participate in the preparation, management and control of the KRPN program budget under supervision from the lead, School of Nursing.
- Provision and supervision of learning resources to the clinical areas
- Take a leadership role in continuous improvement of the operating effectiveness, assessment of the Program’s strengths and weaknesses and identifying risks that could affect its future
- Responsible for development and implementation of effective teaching timetable and master rotation plan for the educators and clinical instructors in the classroom and clinical areas as appropriate
- Ensure implementation of an effective mentorship program for the students
- Participate in classroom and clinical teaching and evaluation of students for the allocated units
- Collaborate in with other units in the preparation, presentation and maintenance of the program budget
Applicants Qualifications, Competencies and Attributes
- Higher Diploma in Kenya Registered Perioperative Nursing
- Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing
- Minimum six (6) years’ experience, at least 3 years in teaching/lecturing or three (3) as an educational institute administrator with exposure to adult learning
- Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)
- Must be conversant with national teaching standards in Nursing
- Participate in effective management of the KRPN Program
