Jambojet is hiring a Coordinator, Security, Standards & Procedures to coordinate aviation security programs and support safe airline operations. The role is based in Nairobi and experience in security management is required.

Role Purpose Statement:

Under the general direction and guidance of the Security and Transport Manager, the Security Coordinator Standards and Procedures coordinates the development, maintenance, and implementation of Jambojet’s security standards and procedures, ensuring alignment with company policy and regulatory compliance across the security operations network.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Conducting audits, spot checks, inspections and tests of external service providers of security services against measurable specifications, to ensure requirements that affect the security of Jambojet operations are being fulfilled by the service provider.
  • Ensure implementation of procedures for the security of aircraft both during overnight stay and during turn around to ensure nil illegal access into the Aircraft
  • Maintain cordial and effective liaison with both internal and external stakeholders in managing security issues.
  • Develop, Implement and maintain a security Quality Control programme for the purpose of determining and monitoring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver aviation security training programs within all the functional areas as per the calendar to ensure staff gains the knowledge and skills to perform their role

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • KCSE C+ and Above
  • Degree or Diploma in Relevant field
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational, planning & Analytical Skills.
  • Knowledge of Criminal procedure code, Evidence Act and the Penal Code.
  • Successfully completed training in the following; • AVSEC Basic123, • AVSEC Instructor course & KCAA Instructor certificate

Experience needed

  • 3 years of relevant aviation security experience.
  • Conducting audits, spot checks, inspections and tests of external service providers of security services against measurable specifications, to ensure requirements that affect the security of Jambojet operations are being fulfilled by the service provider.
