Key Duties & Responsibilities

Key Outputs and Accountabilities include, but not limited to:

  • Develop and implement engineering best practices to improve asset reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the standardization of maintenance strategies (preventive, predictive, and corrective) across all plants.
  • Assess plant engineering performance and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to plant maintenance engineering leads, ensuring alignment with Group Engineering standards.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in engineering operations.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements in maintenance and engineering processes.
  • Work closely with Group Engineering on large capital projects, ensuring seamless execution at the country level.
  • Champion sustainability initiatives, including energy and water reduction programs, in line with corporate goals.
  • Establish strong partnerships with vendors, contractors, and technology providers to support innovation and plant optimization.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma or TPM Certification preferred.
  • Additional qualifications in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) are an advantage.

Experience

  • 10 years of experience in engineering and maintenance within an FMCG or bottling environment.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional engineering teams and coaching plant maintenance leads.
