Key Duties & Responsibilities
Key Outputs and Accountabilities include, but not limited to:
- Develop and implement engineering best practices to improve asset reliability and operational efficiency.
- Lead the standardization of maintenance strategies (preventive, predictive, and corrective) across all plants.
- Assess plant engineering performance and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to plant maintenance engineering leads, ensuring alignment with Group Engineering standards.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in engineering operations.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements in maintenance and engineering processes.
- Work closely with Group Engineering on large capital projects, ensuring seamless execution at the country level.
- Champion sustainability initiatives, including energy and water reduction programs, in line with corporate goals.
- Establish strong partnerships with vendors, contractors, and technology providers to support innovation and plant optimization.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Lean Six Sigma or TPM Certification preferred.
- Additional qualifications in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) are an advantage.
Experience
- 10 years of experience in engineering and maintenance within an FMCG or bottling environment.
- Experience in leading cross-functional engineering teams and coaching plant maintenance leads.
- Develop and implement engineering best practices to improve asset reliability and operational efficiency.
