Position Overview

As a County Business Lead, you will oversee operations the county leading teams of coaches and agribusiness entrepreneurs. This full-time, field-based role (70% travel) focuses on achieving business targets, building strategic alliances, and generating sustainable revenue in Kenyan value chains. The position requires strong autonomy and results-orientation in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead county operations, ensuring team performance and business objectives are met.
  • Drive revenue growth through commercial initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with farmer groups, cooperatives, input providers, financial services, and market players.
  • Supervise coaches and entrepreneurs, monitoring their performance through digital systems.
  • Deliver measurable results: Significant private revenue generation per county.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Business Management, Rural Development, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in field-based agricultural extension, sales, or community mobilization, with at least 3 years in supervisory roles managing teams of over 50 individuals.
  • Proven track record in revenue generation or partnership development in agriculture.
  • Experience with farmer groups or cooperatives preferred.
  • Valid Kenyan driving license (Class B) required (motorbike riding ability essential).
  • Certification in Project Management and Sales preferred.
