Job Summary
The County Programs Manager (CPM) is responsible for providing overall leadership, coordination, and oversight of SRC’s programs at the county level. The role ensures effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of program activities in line with approved workplans, budgets, and donor requirements, while maintaining strong relationships with county governments, community institutions, and implementation partners.
Key Responsibilities
The CPM leads county-level program execution by coordinating field teams, supervising County Programs Officers, and ensuring that activities are delivered on time, within scope, and to agreed quality standards. The role involves translating national or program-level strategies into practical, county-specific implementation plans, managing operational risks, and resolving implementation challenges as they arise.
A key aspect of the role is stakeholder engagement and representation. The County Programs Manager serves as SRC’s primary focal point at county level, engaging with county government departments, national agencies, donors, private sector actors, and community leaders to strengthen collaboration, alignment, and program ownership. The role also supports partnership development and contributes to donor engagement, reporting, and learning processes.
The CPM is accountable for county-level monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, including overseeing data collection, ensuring data quality, contributing to donor and management reports, and supporting documentation of lessons learned and success stories.
The role requires a strong commitment to safeguarding, ethical conduct, and compliance with SRC policies, including PSEA, while fostering an inclusive, respectful, and high-performing team culture in the county.
