JOB SUMMARY
The County Research Coordinator will lead county-level emancipatory research activities under the Edu-WISE project. The role involves coordinating field researchers, overseeing business mapping and accessibility audits, conducting research activities, ensuring data quality, and contributing to project reporting.
- Coordinate and supervise three (3) Field Researchers within the assigned county.
- Maintain regular communication with the Arcò-PIN coordination team.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and completeness of data collected by the field team.
- Participate in training on emancipatory research tools provided by Arcò-PIN.
- Contribute to the design and contextualization of data collection instruments, including interview guides and audit tools.
- Conduct semi-structured interviews with: Vocational Training Centres (VTCs) and Relevant local stakeholders.
- Support accessibility audits and business mapping exercises.
- Compile county-level data and research findings.
- Contribute to the preparation of mapping reports.
- Ensure timely submission of research outputs and documentation.
- Identify and report challenges or ethical issues encountered during fieldwork.
- Ensure compliance with research protocols and ethical standards.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
- Computer literacy.
- Experience using digital data collection tools.
- Ability to enter, manage, and organize data accurately.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to coordinate and manage a small team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality data collection.
- Must be a person with a disability.
- Ability to travel independently within the assigned county to reach organizations selected for accessibility audits.
- Membership or affiliation with a local Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPD).
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or a related field.
