About the Opportunity
A leading Kenyan digital agribusiness and market systems company is seeking experienced County Commercial Growth Managers to lead county-level commercialization under an innovative Market Systems Acceleration Programme.
This is not a traditional project management role. We are looking for commercially driven leaders who can build markets, grow businesses, lead high-performing field teams, and deliver measurable commercial results.
As the County Commercial Growth Manager, you will be responsible for growing the county business by expanding the digital marketplace, driving sales, developing strategic partnerships, strengthening agricultural value chains, and increasing farmer incomes through sustainable market access.
Key Responsibilities
- Own county commercial growth, sales performance, and revenue generation.
- Recruit, coach, supervise, and grow a high-performing network of Field Agents responsible for farmer acquisition, customer onboarding, and marketplace expansion.
- Build strategic partnerships with county governments, cooperatives, agribusinesses, buyers, financial institutions, and other ecosystem stakeholders.
- Expand the digital agribusiness marketplace by increasing farmers, buyers, transactions, and commercial partnerships.
- Establish and commercialize Trade Hubs while strengthening structured agricultural value chains.
- Deliver agreed county commercial, sales, and ecosystem growth targets.
Success in this role will be measured by revenue growth, marketplace expansion, commercial partnerships, active customers, and achievement of agreed county commercial targets.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in sales, business development, commercial management, agribusiness, FMCG, financial services, digital platforms, or agricultural value chains, with a proven record of delivering commercial results.
- Demonstrated ability to lead field teams, build strategic partnerships, and achieve ambitious growth targets.
- Knowledge of county agricultural ecosystems will be an added advantage.
