Job Description

  • Plan, prepare and deliver art lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum.
  • Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching materials appropriate to learners’ levels.
  • Encourage creativity, self-expression, and appreciation of art among students.
  • Assess, evaluate, and record students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Prepare learners for exhibitions, competitions, and school art activities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized art classroom and storage areas.
  • Ensure proper use, care, and storage of art materials and equipment.
  • Identify and nurture learners’ artistic talents.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Creative Art, Fine Art, Art Education, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • At least one (1) year of teaching experience, preferably in a school environment.
  • Strong creativity and the ability to inspire young learners.
  • Good classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passion for nurturing students’ artistic talents.
