Role Summary

To inspire learners in Visual Arts, Music, Drama, and Physical Education/Sports, developing creativity, teamwork, and physical fitness in line with CBC’s creative and psychomotor domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Art & Craft (drawing, painting, sculpting, collage, indigenous crafts).
  • Teach Music (singing, simple instruments, Kenyan folk songs, rhythm).
  • Teach Drama (acting, role-play, puppetry, storytelling, stage confidence).
  • Teach Physical Education & Sports (athletics, ball games, basic gymnastics, traditional games).
  • Organise school sports days, music festivals, art exhibitions, and drama performances.
  • Assess learners through performance tasks, portfolios, and physical skill demonstrations.
  • Promote talents identification and career pathways in arts/sports.
  • Ensure safety during physical activities.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Primary Education (Creative Arts option) or B.Ed. (Arts/PE).
  • TSC registered.
  • Practical skills in at least 2 areas: visual arts, music, drama, or sports.
  • Experience organising school games or cultural events (minimum 1 year).
  • Energetic, patient, and creative.
