Job summary

Trident Group of Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Credit Control Officer to join our Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts to ensure payments are received within agreed terms.
• Follow up on overdue invoices through calls, emails, and official correspondence.
• Reconcile customer statements and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Review and recommend customer credit limits.
• Prepare aging reports and provide regular debtor status updates.
• Negotiate repayment plans where necessary.
• Maintain accurate debtor records and collection notes.
• Escalate high-risk accounts to management.
• Support month-end closing by ensuring debtor balances are accurate.
• Ensure adherence to company credit policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• CPA Part II / ACCA qualification is an added advantage.
• At least 3 years’ experience in credit control or debt collection.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
