Role Summary:

HFCB Kenya has an exciting new position for a Credit Evaluation Manager – Asset Finance. The role involves assessing creditworthiness of asset finance applicants, managing credit risk, and ensuring compliance with credit policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate credit applications for asset finance and assess creditworthiness.
  • Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and collateral details.
  • Make informed credit decisions within delegated authority limits.
  • Monitor credit risk and portfolio performance.
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and mentor the credit evaluation team.
  • Prepare credit reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with business development and operations teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in credit evaluation, credit management, or asset finance.
  • Strong knowledge of asset finance products, credit risk assessment, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and credit management systems.
