Background

Our client in the Finance Industry is seeking to recruit a results-driven Credit Officer to support credit operations through effective loan appraisal, risk assessment, client onboarding, and portfolio management, while contributing to business growth and financial inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, review, and process loan applications in line with company policies
  • Analyze client financial information to evaluate creditworthiness and risk
  • Manage and monitor loan portfolios to ensure timely repayments
  • Prospect, onboard, and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Prepare and maintain accurate credit documentation and records
  • Follow up on repayments and support recovery of non-performing loans
  • Meet individual and team sales and lending targets
  • Provide regular credit and portfolio performance reports

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 3–10 years hands-on experience, preferably in microfinance or lending institutions
  • Strong knowledge of credit analysis, risk assessment, and loan management
  • Proven ability in client prospecting, onboarding, and meeting sales targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a target-driven environment
