BACKGROUND

The Nairobi Hospital is a leading healthcare institution in Kenya, committed to providing exceptional medical services. We are currently seeking to fill the position of Credit Officer to join our dedicated team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Credit Officer will be responsible for managing patient accounts, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. Key duties include:

  • Processing patient admissions and discharges, verifying insurance coverage.
  • Generating invoices and statements for patient services.
  • Following up on outstanding balances and implementing collection strategies.
  • Reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports.
  • Liaising with insurance providers to resolve claim issues.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service in all interactions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in credit management, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and credit collection techniques.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
