Background
HFC Limited, the banking and property finance subsidiary of HF Group, has an exciting opportunity in our Asset Finance Department. We are seeking a talented, dynamic, self-driven, and results-oriented individual who is committed to performance, excellence, and participating in our growth strategy.
To support the credit origination and assessment process for Asset Finance and Insurance Premium Financing (IPF) facilities across Retail, Business Banking, and Commercial segments. The role is responsible for processing applications, preparing quality credit proposals, ensuring compliance with policy and regulatory requirements, and maintaining strong credit risk standards while enabling business growth through efficient credit processing and proactive stakeholder collaboration.
Principle Accountabilities
1. Credit Origination and Appraisal
- Receive and review Asset Finance and IPF credit applications from business teams across all customer segments.
- Conduct comprehensive financial and risk analysis, including cash flow assessment, repayment capacity, and collateral adequacy.
- Verify supporting documentation such as supplier invoices, insurance schedules, valuations, and other securities.
- Prepare detailed credit proposals and recommendations in line with approved product programs and credit policy.
- Ensure all applications meet documentation, eligibility, and policy standards before submission for approval.
2. Processing of Insurance Premium Financing (IPF) Applications
- Review and validate IPF requests to confirm customer eligibility, policy coverage, and premium details.
- Liaise with insurers and intermediaries to confirm policy authenticity and ensure proper assignment to the Bank.
- Calculate loan amounts, tenors, and repayment structures in line with IPF product parameters.
- Ensure accurate setup of IPF facilities and prompt disbursement to insurers within agreed turnaround times.
- Track policy expiries and repayments to mitigate default and ensure compliance with Bank and insurance regulations.
3. Risk Assessment and Deal Structuring
- Identify and evaluate key credit risks in each proposal, recommending appropriate mitigants.
- Support structuring of both asset finance and IPF facilities to align customer needs with credit risk appetite.
- Ensure fulfillment of all pre-disbursement conditions and proper documentation prior to release of facilities.
4. Process Management and Coordination
- Liaise closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Administration, Legal, and Operations to ensure smooth end-to-end processing.
- Monitor workflow and maintain adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all credit requests.
- Maintain updated and accurate credit files and audit trails for all processed facilities.
5. Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting
- Support monitoring of asset finance and IPF portfolios to identify early warning indicators.
- Participate in periodic portfolio reviews and provide data-driven insights on performance and emerging risks.
- Prepare periodic reports on pipeline volumes, turnaround time, approval ratios, and portfolio quality.
6. Compliance and Governance
- Ensure full compliance with internal credit policies, operational procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Support audit and compliance reviews by providing timely and accurate documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality, data integrity, and adherence to ethical credit practices.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Credit Management, CPA, ACCA, or CFA is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in credit analysis, lending, asset finance, or IPF within a financial institution.
- Understanding of asset-based lending, insurance financing processes, and credit risk evaluation across customer segments.
