Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and review loan applications submitted by the sales/field team
  • Verify client documentation for accuracy, completeness, and authenticity
  • Conduct credit assessment and evaluate repayment capacity
  • Ensure all applications comply with internal credit policies and procedures
  • Identify and flag high-risk or incomplete applications for further review or rejection
  • Prepare and organize loan files for approval and disbursement
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit processing records
  • Work closely with the Team Leader to resolve missing or incorrect application details
  • Ensure timely turnaround of loan processing without compromising quality

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in credit, loan processing, or financial services (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis and loan documentation
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight processing timelines
  • Integrity, discipline, and adherence to compliance standards
  • Experience in microfinance or asset/logbook financing is an added advantage
