About the Role

The National Bank of Kenya (NBK) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Manager to join their team. This role is crucial in safeguarding the bank's digital assets and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the bank's cybersecurity strategy and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and policies.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of security controls and technologies.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
  • Manage and respond to security incidents and breaches.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Lead and mentor the cybersecurity team.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate security into all aspects of operations.
  • Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, protocols, and technologies.
  • Experience with risk management, incident response, and threat intelligence.
  • Strong understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
