Data Enumerator
Job Type: Full Time
Qualification: BA/BSc/HND , Diploma
Experience: 1 - 2 years
Location: Nairobi
Job Field: Data, Business Analysis and AI , ICT / Computer
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person, phone, and digital surveys using approved tools such as DigiKua in assigned locations.
- Accurately record survey responses using digital or paper-based data collection tools.
- Adhere strictly to survey protocols, ethical standards, and data collection guidelines.
- Identify and engage eligible respondents based on sampling criteria and project instructions.
- Clearly explain the purpose of the study and obtain informed consent from respondents.
- Review collected data daily to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Maintain professionalism, neutrality, and courtesy throughout the data collection process.
- Report field challenges, data issues, or logistical concerns promptly to the M&E Officer or line manager.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, IT, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in data collection, surveys, or field research.
- Experience using digital data collection tools such as DigiKua, KoboToolbox, ODK, or SurveyCTO.
- Basic understanding of data quality, validation, and ethical data collection principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage respondents effectively.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and meet daily and weekly targets.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel is an added advantage.
