Role Context
The Data Governance Specialist will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining robust data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures across the organization. This role is essential for ensuring data quality, integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Establish and manage a data catalog and business glossary.
- Monitor data quality and implement data cleansing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, local data protection laws).
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and business units to address data-related issues.
- Provide training and support to staff on data governance best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data governance, data management, or data quality roles.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data governance or data management.
