We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Officer to support the collection, management, analysis, and reporting of organizational data. The successful candidate will ensure data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality while providing timely information to support decision-making, programme implementation, and organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, verify, clean, and maintain accurate data from multiple sources.
  • Ensure data quality, completeness, consistency, and integrity across all reporting systems.
  • Manage data entry and update organizational databases and information management systems.
  • Generate routine and ad hoc reports to support programme monitoring and management decision-making.
  • Analyze data trends and prepare summaries, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Support data validation, audits, and quality assurance processes.
  • Maintain data security and confidentiality in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with programme teams to ensure timely submission and reporting of data.
  • Assist in developing and improving data collection tools and reporting processes.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff on data management procedures where required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, Data Science, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in data management, reporting, monitoring and evaluation, or information systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using databases, data management systems, or reporting platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of data accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the health, development, NGO, or public sector.
  • Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, DHIS2, or similar platforms will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with data protection, confidentiality, and information management best practices.
