Responsibilities
The Data Protection Assistant will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of data protection policies and procedures.
- Monitoring compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, Data Protection Act).
- Responding to data subject access requests and other inquiries.
- Conducting data protection awareness training for staff.
- Assisting in data breach investigations and reporting.
- Maintaining records of data processing activities.
- Supporting the Data Protection Officer in various data protection initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of data protection laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, Data Protection Act).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience
Previous experience in data protection, compliance, or a related field is an advantage.
