Inchcape is a market leader: the OEM distribution partner of choice in small to medium-sized markets. The Group is pursuing a strategy of growth, both organically and by acquiring distribution businesses globally.

Demand & Supply Planning

  • Develop demand forecasts by part number (SKU), model, and branch using historical consumption, service activity, unit population in operation (UIO), and seasonality
  • Capture and validate national demand inputs from Service, Parts Sales, and Key Accounts, including planned maintenance, campaigns, and customer requirements
  • Translate demand forecasts into replenishment plans aligned to lead times, stocking parameters, and branch demand requirements
  • Raise and track purchase orders with OEM and suppliers through to receipt, ensuring alignment with demand and supply priorities
  • Manage back orders, substitutions, and supersessions in coordination with OEM to minimise supply disruption
  • Prioritise urgent requirements (e.g. warranty, VOR, and critical breakdowns) through expedited planning and supply actions

Inventory & Availability Management

  • Maintain stock levels aligned to availability targets, inventory turns, and working capital requirements
  • Monitor and manage slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory
  • Review and maintain stocking parameters (min/max, reorder points, safety stock)
  • Drive inter-branch stock balancing to improve national availability
  • Ensure availability of parts to support workshop operations, field service, and warranty requirement

Parts Data & Demand Governance

  • Maintain parts item master and price files, ensuring accuracy of pricing, costing, and alignment
  • Coordinate with Finance and Warehouse Teams to ensure accurate goods receipt (GRN), costing, and margin alignment in line with procurement values, landed costs, and pricing structures
  • Maintain accurate part-to-model mapping, supersessions, and alternates in Autoline, and support standardisation of parts identification processes across Service and Parts teams
  • Validate and align demand inputs with unit population in operation (UIO), service intervals, failure trends, and parts strategy (critical stock, fast movers, and campaign requirements)
  • Analyze consumption patterns to improve stocking decisions and reduce misidentification risks

Supply Chain Coordination & Cost Optimization

  • Coordinate with OEM, and Internal Logistics & Procurement Team to drive supply reliability, optimise inbound flows, and reduce lead times
  • Recommend shipment modes (air vs sea) based on urgency, cost, and demand priority
  • Monitor inbound shipments and escalate risks affecting parts availability
  • Support shipment consolidation to improve freight efficiency and cost competitiveness

Reporting, Coordination & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare reports on forecast accuracy, stock levels, fill rate, ageing, and back orders
  • Capture, track, and analyze national lost sales to identify demand gaps and missed revenue opportunities
  • Use lost sales data to refine forecasts, adjust stocking parameters, and improve parts availability
  • Ensure accurate and consistent recording of lost sales across Service, Sales, and Parts teams
  • Highlight risks relating to stock-outs, excess inventory, and supply delays
  • Coordinate with Service, Sales, Warehouse, Finance, Procurement, and OEM on planning and stock matters
  • Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, replenishment discipline, and inventory control
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, OEM requirements, and company policies
  • Ensure all planning, ordering, and reporting documents are accurately maintained, filed, and securely stored in line with company policies and audit requirements
