Background
The mandate of the Board is contained in section 59 of the County Government Acts 2012. These include establishing and abolishing offices in the County Public Service, appointing persons who hold and act in offices of the Public service among others.
Responsibilities
- Design and fabricate dental prostheses and appliances of average scope and complexity.
- Ensure proper handling and control of hazardous materials and follow laboratory infection control procedures as required.
- Train and supervise other dental technicians in fabricating dentures and other dental devices
- Conduct research in science techniques and practice of dental technology.
- Perform administrative function for dental laboratory
Qualifications
- Diploma in Dental Technology from a recognized institution.
- Have successfully completed one-year mandatory internship.
- Registered by Kenya Health Professional Oversight Authority and have a valid practicing license
- Certificate in Computer Application skills from a recognized institution
