Background

Dentist at a Dental Clinic (Nairobi)

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments and diagnose dental conditions.

Formulate treatment plans.

Perform clinical procedures (fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, bridges, dentures).

Provide oral health care advice and preventive measures.

Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and use PPE.

Collaborate with dental nurses, COHOs, and other health professionals.

Keep accurate patient records.

Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment maintenance.

Participate in community outreach programs.

Stay updated with dental advancements.

Supervise, guide, and mentor junior dental staff.

Adhere to ethical/legal standards and maintain patient confidentiality.

Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.

Comply with healthcare regulations.

Develop strategies to attract and retain patients.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Dental Surgery from a recognized medical school.

Registered with Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDB).

Experience

Minimum 5 years experience in a dental clinic.
