About the Role
The Judicial Service Commission invites applications for the position of Deputy Director, Risk Management (JSG 2). This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing risk management frameworks to safeguard the Judiciary’s operations and resources.
Key Duties
- Develop and implement risk management policies, strategies, and frameworks
- Identify, assess, and monitor institutional risks across Judiciary functions
- Provide advisory support on risk mitigation and control measures
- Coordinate enterprise risk management programs and compliance initiatives
- Prepare and disseminate risk assessment reports and recommendations
- Build capacity in risk management practices across departments
- Ensure alignment of risk management with strategic objectives and governance standards
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Strategic Management, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., CRISC, CIRM, CPA, ACCA) and membership in a recognized professional body
- Course in Strategic Leadership Development or equivalent
- Proficiency in computer applications and risk management tools
- Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution
Experience
- Minimum 12 years’ relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in senior management OR 6 years in middle management

- Strategic leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
- Evidence‑based decision‑making skills
- Time management and prioritization
