Job Description

The Deputy Director of Supply Chain Management will support the county in the management of procurement and supply chain operations to ensure efficiency, transparency, and compliance with procurement laws and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing supply chain policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Overseeing procurement planning and ensuring alignment with county development plans.
  • Supervising the management of inventory, stores, and distribution processes.
  • Advising the county leadership on matters related to procurement and logistics.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Coordinating supplier prequalification and contract management.
  • Preparing procurement reports and ensuring timely submission to oversight authorities.
  • Overseeing training and capacity building for supply chain staff.
