The internship is for a 3-month fixed-term contract, two different intakes, one from October to December 2026, and the second from January to March 2027.
We are offering thrilling opportunities across various functions including Core Banking Business, Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, Digital, Compliance, Technology, Brand & Marketing, Governance, Legal, Risk, Operations, and Data Science/Analytics.
Internship - Finance
(Focus: Financial record keeping, budgeting support, reconciliations, and reporting)
Financial Data Entry: Assist in recording daily financial transactions into accounting software, ensuring accuracy and proper coding to general ledger accounts.
Budget Monitoring Support: Help track departmental and project budgets, flagging variances between actual expenditures and approved budgets.
Reconciliations: Assist with monthly bank reconciliations, petty cash reconciliations, and creditor/debtor statement reconciliations.
Invoice Processing: Support the processing of supplier invoices, staff expense claims, and payment requisitions, verifying supporting documents for completeness.
Financial Reporting Assistance: Compile data and prepare draft financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries for review.
Audit Preparation: Organize and file financial documents in preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring all records are accessible and properly archived.
Tax Compliance Support: Assist in calculating and preparing statutory deductions (PAYE, NSSF, VAT) for timely submission to relevant authorities.
