Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and effective haemodialysis treatment to patients.
  • Prepare, operate, and monitor dialysis machines before, during, and after treatment
  • Assess patients before, during, and after dialysis, documenting findings accurately.
  • Monitor patients for complications and respond promptly to emergencies.
  • Maintain infection prevention and control standards within the dialysis unit.
  • Administer prescribed medications and Intravenous therapies as required.
  • Educate patients and their families on dialysis care, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and handling of dialysis equipment and supplies.
  • Collaborate with nephrologists and the multidisciplinary team to provide quality patient care.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Registered with the "Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) with a valid practicing licence.
  • Specialized training/certification in Haemodialysis Nursing.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a dialysis unit is an added advantage.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is an added advantage.
  • High level of professionalism, Integrity, and teamwork
