Role Purpose

Our client is seeking a Digital Media Buyer to plan, buy, manage, and optimize paid digital media campaigns across key platforms. The role is responsible for driving measurable business results, owning campaign performance, and ensuring efficient and effective media spend.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute paid digital campaigns across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, and programmatic platforms.
  • Translate campaign objectives into clear media strategies, budgets, and flighting plans.
  • Set up, manage, and optimize campaigns for reach, traffic, leads, and conversions.
  • Monitor campaign performance daily and optimize bids, audiences, creatives, and formats.
  • Manage media budgets and pacing to avoid over- or under-spend.
  • Implement and manage tracking using pixels, events, and conversion APIs.
  • Collaborate closely with creative teams to brief, test, rotate, and optimize ad assets.
  • Conduct A/B testing across audiences, creatives, formats, and placements.
  • Prepare weekly performance updates and monthly reports.
  • Deliver actionable insights, learnings, and clear optimisation recommendations.
  • Ensure brand safety, platform policy compliance, and account hygiene.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • ROAS, CPA, CPC, CPM
  • Conversion volume and quality
  • Budget utilization accuracy
  • Campaign delivery against timelines
  • Reporting accuracy and insight quality

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in digital media buying.
  • Strong experience with Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads.
  • Solid understanding of audience targeting, funnels, and attribution.
  • Strong analytical, optimization, and reporting skills.
  • Experience managing monthly media budgets of KES 500,000+
  • Comfortable working with data, dashboards, and spreadsheets.

A plus to have.

  • Experience with YouTube, TikTok, and programmatic buying.
  • Familiarity with GA4, Looker Studio, or similar analytics tools.
  • Experience working in a digital or creative agency environment.

Skills required;

  • Data-driven and results-oriented.
  • Detail-oriented with strong ownership of work.
  • Proactive, accountable, and solutions-focused.
  • Strong communicator with internal teams and clients.
