Director Administration
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Initiating, interpreting, implementing, and reviewing administrative strategies, procedures and programme:
- Coordinating, managing and supervising the general administrative function in the department
- Coordinating public service reforms:
- Overseeing service delivering in the department;
- Overseeing development of programmes and projects to empower to empower the community
- Coordinating and facilitating citizen participation in the development of policies plans and delivery of services,
- Overseeing state custody of county government assets;
- Coordinating and liaising with other directorates and department in the County
- Ensuring compliance with legal, statutory and regulatory requirement
- Ensuring compliance with national values and principles of good governance
- In addition, the Director will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of the departmental strategic plan;
- Ensuring the review of departmental annual work plans and budgets:
- Ensuring compliance with principles and values of departmental assets and finances; and overall management and development of staff
Qualifications:
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have
- 18 years of experience in public service
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Public\ Administration; Business Administration/Management, Community Development or any other Social Science from a recognized institution;
- Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Public Administration; Business Administration/Management, Community Development or any other Social Science from a recognized institution:
- Diploma in advance Public Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution:
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution;
- Certify chapter six (6) of the constitution
