Background information about the job or company:

The Director Youth Affairs and Sports position at the County Government of Nyeri involves coordinating the development, management, and implementation of youth affairs, sports, and recreational programs in the county. The role reports to the Chief Officer of the Department of Gender, Youth, Sports, and Social Services.

Responsibilities or duties:

• Coordinating strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting for the directorate

• Overseeing sports championships and facilities maintenance
• Liaising with stakeholders and mobilizing resources for sports and youth programs
• Conducting sports seminars, workshops, and clinics

Qualifications or requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields
• Master’s Degree in relevant fields
• Demonstrated track record in youth and sports management
• Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme

Experience needed:

At least seven (7) years relevant experience in Youth Affairs and served in a senior leadership position
