Duties

  • Summary: To work closely with the Executive Director and colleagues to ensure timely compliance with multiple project activities.
  • Establish reporting and activity schedules for different projects
  • Work with the Finance team to ensure compliance with project demands
  • Assist with planning cash flow for projects
  • Work with the Executive Director on issues to be addressed with project operations
  • Build relationships with public and private organisations that promote use of farmer training videos across developing countries
  • Work with the International Director to contribute to Access Agriculture’s resource mobilisation efforts
  • Help compile documents for Board and AGM meetings
  • Location
  • Country of residence. Some worldwide travel may be occasionally required.

Duration

  • All Access Agriculture personnel work under consultancy contracts that are agreed at the beginning of each year.

Qualifications and key skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in agriculture, media, business development or other relevant subject.
  • Experience in management of international development programmes
  • Knowledge of agroecology and business development.
  • A quick learner with good interpersonal, communication, networking, leadership skills and facilitation techniques.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a diverse international collaborative team.
  • Proficient in the use of computer applications and social media.
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English, knowledge of other
  • languages would be desirable.
  • Pro-active and willing to learn and help others.
