Background

Peoplelink Consultants Ltd is a consultancy services company incorporated under the laws of Kenya.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating daily dispatch and delivery activities.
  • Ensure timely loading and dispatch of finished goods to customers.
  • Track fuel consumption of all company trucks and prepare accurate monthly reports.
  • Ensure timely renewal of all vehicle documents, licenses, insurance covers, and county permits.
  • Handle police-related issues involving company vehicles and drivers.
  • Monitor attendance and performance of drivers and turn boys while on route through random calls and verification.
  • Address staff concerns raised by drivers and turn boys and escalate appropriately.
  • Report all accidents involving company trucks to the insurance company promptly and accurately.
  • Follow up with the insurance company for timely processing and reimbursement of claims.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch records, delivery notes, proof of delivery (PODS), and other documentation.
  • Assist in investigating and resolving customer complaints related to deliveries.
  • Support the Dispatch Manager in preparing monthly dispatch performance reports.
  • Account for all petty cash issued to staff.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Dispatch Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or fleet operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good knowledge of transport regulations, insurance claims, and fleet management.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and basic dispatch or tracking systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
