Dispatch & Logistics Officer-Stationery Division

Location: Nairobi

Dispatch & Logistics Officer is responsible for ensuring efficient coordination, scheduling, and execution of all finished goods dispatch activities. The role ensures timely and accurate delivery of customer orders, proper documentation, optimal transport utilization, and compliance with warehouse, safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee picking, packing, verification, and dispatch of finished goods to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
• Ensure proper documentation, order tracking, and system updates for all dispatch activities.
• Plan and coordinate daily dispatch operations, including truck allocation, route planning, and transporter management.
• Monitor delivery performance, truck turnaround time, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
• Manage drivers, pickers, and loaders by assigning duties, monitoring performance, and enforcing accountability.
• Handle dispatch-related customer complaints by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and 5S standards within the dispatch and logistics operations.
• Coordinate with sales, customer service, and other departments to improve dispatch efficiency and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years' experience in dispatch, logistics, warehouse, or transport operations.

Key Skills

• Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, or distribution environment is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience coordinating drivers, transporters, and delivery schedules.
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP or similar) is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of dispatch planning, route optimization, and transport coordination.
• Proficiency in Google workspace for reporting and tracking.
