Responsibilities or duties
- Operate all aspects of the dynamometer system in accordance with established operating guidelines, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Set up, calibrate, operate, monitor, and maintain dynamometer equipment to ensure reliable and efficient performance.
- Conduct testing and diagnostic activities while ensuring equipment operates within established technical parameters.
- Monitor system performance and identify abnormal conditions, malfunctions, or potential equipment issues.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and coordinate corrective actions as necessary.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on dynamometer systems and associated equipment.
- Accurately document equipment operation, maintenance activities, testing procedures, and test results in designated reporting systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, health, environmental, and organizational regulations and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment during all testing and equipment operations.
- Report equipment malfunctions, performance issues, safety concerns, and other operational problems to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain required training and qualification documentation.
- Submit training and qualification documentation to the Contracting Officer for review and approval prior to employment or assignment.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated training and experience operating dynamometer systems.
- Ability to safely and independently operate, monitor, and maintain dynamometer equipment.
- Knowledge of testing and diagnostic processes associated with dynamometer systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify operational issues.
- Ability to accurately document technical information, test results, and maintenance activities.
- Must be capable of submitting required qualifications and training documentation for review and approval prior to employment.
- Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
- Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
- Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
- Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
- Must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.
Experience needed
- Prior professional experience operating dynamometer systems in a technical, automotive, mechanical, engineering, or testing environment.
- Prior experience working in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce
