About the Role

YP People is an outsourcing company that provides reliable, well-trained staff to leading businesses. We are recruiting accurate, detail-oriented E-Pickers on behalf of a well-established retail client. You will be employed and managed by YP People and deployed to the client’s store, where you will pick, check and pack online orders to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick and scan online orders using handheld devices from designated store areas.
• Check and verify expiry dates and product quality at the time of picking.
• Meet the client’s picking accuracy, productivity and quality targets (KPIs).
• Pack orders, re-verify expiry dates and carry out quality control checks before sealing.
• Make sure fresh food items meet the client’s quality standards and customers’ expectations.
• Inspect packaging materials to confirm they meet the client’s packing specifications.
• Follow the client’s store rules, hygiene standards and YP People’s code of conduct while on site.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work at a steady pace and meet daily productivity targets.
• Comfortable using handheld devices or willing to be trained.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift for long periods.
• Good understanding of hygiene and food handling practices is an added advantage.
• Honest, punctual and able to follow instructions and work in a team.
• Basic communication skills in English and/or Kiswahili.
• Previous retail, warehouse or order-picking experience is an added advantage.
• Minimum education: [ KCSE or equivalent]
