A headteacher's duties include setting school strategy, managing staff and finances, ensuring a positive learning environment, and overseeing curriculum and policies. 

Strategic Leadership: Setting the school's vision, values, and strategic direction. Staff Management: Recruiting, training, motivating, and evaluating teachers and other staff members. Financial Management: Overseeing the school budget and ensuring financial responsibility and proper resource allocation. Curriculum and Standards: Developing and implementing the curriculum, ensuring high educational standards, and monitoring student progress. School Operations: Managing the day-to-day operations of the school, including maintaining facilities and equipment. Safety and Well-being: Creating and maintaining a healthy, safe, and positive environment for students and staff. Community Engagement: Collaborating with parents, the local community, and governing bodies to support the school. Policy and Compliance: Developing, implementing, and ensuring adherence to school and national policies. Performance Monitoring: Using data to track school performance and produce reports for various stakeholders. Professional Development: Ensuring continuous professional development for themselves and staff, and staying updated on educational innovations.
