ERT = Emergency Response Team

Job Summary

The ERT Rider will provide rapid field response to operational, technical, vehicle, or network incidents. The rider will be expected to respond promptly to assigned locations while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency and operational incidents within the assigned area.
• Travel to incident locations using a motorcycle.
• Support technical and operations teams during field emergencies.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting and first-response activities within the scope of training.
• Transport tools, equipment, spare parts, or other required materials to field locations.
• Provide updates on incident status to the operations team.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents and response activities.
• Conduct basic checks on assigned motorcycle and report faults immediately.
• Follow all road-traffic, company, and occupational safety requirements.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, field teams, and members of the public.
• Remain available for rapid-response assignments during scheduled shifts.
• Escalate technical or safety issues that require specialist intervention.

Requirements

• Valid motorcycle riding licence.
• Previous experience as a rider, courier, field technician, emergency-response rider, or similar role is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Mombasa roads and surrounding areas.
• Safe and responsible riding record.
• Ability to respond quickly while maintaining road and workplace safety.
• Good communication and navigation skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in a field environment.
• Reliable, disciplined, and able to work under pressure.
• Basic technical knowledge is an added advantage.
