The candidate will support the Sustainable Mobility Unit in delivering the following products/services under the direct supervision of the Programme Management Officer for Battery end-of-Life: 1. Submission of a work plan and quarterly report of advancements in project management support provided to the Used EVs and Battery end-of-life Programme. 2. Support update, event management plan and meeting agenda for the virtual launch event of the new Global Partnership on EV Battery Circularity, as well as for the first in-person event of the Global Partnership on EV Battery Circularity. 3. The timely finalization and publication of a report on Used EVs import standards, a Regulatory Toolbox for Used EVs and Battery end-of-Life and an EV Battery Chemical Impact report. A reviewed version of these reports must also be submitted as an output. 4. The agenda is developed and speakers are secured for three workshops through the regional platforms of the Global Electric Mobility Programme, and two subregional meetings on battery end-of-Life at the East African Community and The Economic Community of West African States. 5. An implementation plan, project tender outline and selection criteria for 4 competitive grant processes for battery end-of-life projects are developed for each of the following regions: Africa, Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe West Asia and Central Asia (EEWACA), and Latin America and the Caribbean. 6. Reviewed and improved versions of project proposals for GEF9 E-mobility projects in two countries. 7. The battery end of life policy development projects in Cameroon, Morocco and Ethiopia is successfully finalized. A reviewed version of these products must be submitted as an output. 8. Represent the Sustainable Mobility Unit in at least one webinar related to battery end-of-Life. 9. Review at least 2 policy and project outputs from e-mobility projects from the Unit with battery end-of-life components.

Proven experience in analytical, presentation, and communication skills are required. Knowledge on sustainable mobility is required. Knowledge on Circularity or EV Battery end-of-Life is desirable. Experience in stakeholder management is desirable. Experience in data collection and research is desirable.
An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in environmental management, transport, engineering, international development or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A minimum of three years’ work experience in project management is required. Proven experience in analytical, presentation, and communication skills are required. Knowledge on sustainable mobility is required; knowledge on Circularity or EV Battery end-of-Life is desirable. Experience in stakeholder management is desirable. Experience in data collection and research is desirable.
