Responsibilities or duties
More specifically, the Regional Strategic Advisor will:
- Analyse and provide clear strategic insights humanitarian, development, funding and institutional dynamics in East and Central Africa, including key trends, risks, and opportunities affecting child rights programming.
- Identify and anticipate emerging challenges and required strategic shifts to sustain, adapt, and, where possible, expand Tdh’s presence and impact in East and Central Africa.
- Map and assess key regional donors, and funding opportunities for countries where Tdh is currently operating, as well as in priority countries for potential future engagement.
- Identify key regional institutional, governmental, and civil society stakeholders with whom Tdh could strengthen partnerships and further position itself as a credible and influential actor in the promotion and protection of children’s rights.
- Assess organisational, operational, and strategic support needs and propose a clear roadmap to reinforce and sustainably strengthen Tdh’s presence and positioning in East and Central Africa.
- Support, on demand, Burundi and Kenya delegation in terms of positioning, representation and strategic thinking.
Qualifications or requirements
Training/Qualifications
- Diploma: Master’s degree in Development or Humanitarian or equivalent.
