Background
The County Government of Trans Nzoia has officially announced multiple vacancies within the county public service, inviting applications from qualified and competent individuals interested in serving in different departments across the county. Through the Trans Nzoia County Public Service Board, the county is seeking to recruit self-driven, experienced, and suitable candidates to fill various roles in the health sector, county administration, records management, and supply chain management. These appointments are being made pursuant to Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and Section 59(1)(b) of the County Governments Act No. 17 of 2012. The vacancies present an opportunity for professionals in healthcare and administration to join the county government and contribute to public service delivery in Trans Nzoia County. The advertised positions span across the Department of Health Services and Sanitation, County Public Service Board, and the Office of the Governor.
Role Context
The county is also seeking to hire eleven Enrolled Nurses to support healthcare delivery across health centres and hospitals. The role involves assisting in day-to-day patient care and ensuring patients receive proper nursing support.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Delivering basic nursing care to patients
- Administering prescribed treatments under supervision
- Monitoring patients and reporting progress
- Supporting admission and discharge processes
- Recording patient information and nursing observations
- Assisting in maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards in wards
- Supporting immunization, maternal care, and outpatient services
- Participating in health promotion activities
