Job Purpose:

The Entry Level FTTH Technician is responsible for the installation, basic splicing, testing, and maintenance of fibre optic networks delivering high-speed internet to residential and small business customers.

This role focuses on fibre to the Home (FTTH) deployments.

Key Responsibilities

  • FTTH Installation
  • Testing & Troubleshooting
  • Splicing (Basic Level)
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Customer Interaction

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or Electrical/Electronics Engineering from a recognized Kenyan institution. TVET certificates (KNQF Level 5 or 6) in ICT or Electrical/Electronics are also accepted.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in fibre optic installation, copper cabling (CAT6/Coaxial), or telecommunications field work. Internships or attachments that included field exposure count.
  • Valid Kenyan BCE driver's license (light vehicle) with at least 1 year of driving experience. Motorcycle license (Class A) may be accepted for some roles.
