Environmental Health Safety Specialist Job KEDA
KEDA (Kenya) Ceramics Company Ltd, a leading manufacturer of high-quality ceramic tiles, is seeking to recruit a competent and motivated Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Officer to join our team. If you are passionate about ensuring workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and regulatory compliance we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate EHS risks.
- Develop, implement, and update EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead employee training and awareness programs on EHS best practices.
- Prepare and submit EHS reports to management and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct periodic drills.
- Continuously monitor and improve EHS performance metrics.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- At least 2 year of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
