Trainee Planter Program - Estate Accounting & Financial Controls

Role Summary: Responsible for the financial and administrative management of the estate. This trainee manages budgets, tracks expenditure, and ensures that field operations remain within financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Budget Management: Assist in preparing annual budgets for the estate (e.g., labor costs, fertilizer, fuel).

Cost Control: Monitor daily operational costs, analyze variances, and implement cost-saving measures where possible.

Payroll Processing: Calculate and process monthly wages for permanent staff and weekly wages for casual labor.

Inventory Management: Oversee the store inventory—tracking the issuance of tools, PPE, agrochemicals, and spare parts.

Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports and cash flow statements for the Head Office.
