Responsibilities or duties
- Apply Ethical Frameworks: Teach students to apply utilitarianism, deontology, and virtue ethics to resolve complex business dilemmas.
- Manage Conflicts of Interest: Instruct on identifying and managing situations where personal interests clash with professional duties through disclosure policies.
- Create Ethical Compliance Codes: Oversee the creation of a company ethics code, outlining specific expected behaviors regarding gifts, bribery, and confidentiality.
- Evaluate CSR Initiatives: Assess student proposals for Corporate Social Responsibility programs, ensuring they reflect genuine social benefit rather than "greenwashing."
- Analyze Whistleblowing Cases: Facilitate discussions on the ethical obligations and personal risks associated with reporting illegal or unethical acts within an organization.
- Implement Stakeholder Theory: Guide students in balancing the interests of all stakeholders (employees, customers, environment) over purely profit-focused decisions.
