Role Summary:
We are seeking a creative and passionate Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. You will be responsible for the conceptualization and execution of all food and beverage offerings, including the all-day dining restaurant, rooftop bar, VIP cigar lounge, and in-room dining for the serviced apartments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative menus for all outlets, reflecting the Voco brand and local Kenyan flavors.
- Oversee the kitchen setup during the pre-opening phase, including kitchen design input, equipment procurement, and supplier selection.
- Manage all culinary operations, ensuring the highest quality and consistency.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the entire kitchen brigade.
- Control food costs, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a 5-star hotel or high-end restaurant.
- Pre-opening experience is highly desirable.
- A strong background in international cuisine with a flair for creativity.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and financial management skills.
