Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and negotiate contracts for services such as security, cleaning, catering, and classroom facilities to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage and supervise a multi-skilled maintenance team, including electricians and craftsmen, ensuring smooth operations and task completion.
  • Ensure regular maintenance of essential services, including water, sanitation, electrical systems, and HVAC, to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost-control measures.
  • Ensure the school meets all government regulations, and environmental, health, and security standards, including risk management and statutory health & safety checks.
  • Oversee the upkeep of playing fields, gardens, pathways, and buildings, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and structural integrity.
  • Liaise with Heads of Departments to support their operational needs and ensure seamless facility support across the institution.
  • Manage the safe storage of hazardous materials, implement fire safety and first aid systems, and maintain emergency preparedness protocols.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Must Have a minimum 5 years’ experience with at least 3 years operations management or facilities management, within the education or manufacturing sector.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and child protection standards.
  • Certification in OSHA, Fire Safety, and First Aid.
  • Proficient in operations and facilities management software
