Background

CEFA Kenya is implementing the GROW Project in West Pokot County. This project aims to enhance agricultural productivity and resilience among smallholder farmers.

Responsibilities

The Field Officer Agriculture will be responsible for:

• Implementing project activities at the field level in West Pokot County.
• Providing technical support and training to farmers on sustainable agricultural practices.
• Monitoring project progress and collecting data on agricultural outcomes.
• Facilitating farmer group meetings and community engagement activities.
• Liaising with local authorities and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field.
• Proven experience in agricultural field work and community mobilization.
• Knowledge of sustainable farming techniques.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with West Pokot County is an added advantage.

Contract Details

This is a fixed-term position for 1 year, with a possible extension. The start date is June 2026.
