JOB TITLE: FIELD SALES REPRESENTATIVE (LAB EQUIPMENT)
NATURE OF JOB: FULL TIME
SALARY; KSHS. 15,000 PLUS COMMISSIONS
JOB LOCATION: EMBU
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Business Development
Actively promote and sell laboratory equipment, consumables, and related supplies within the assigned territory
Identify potential customers including hospitals, schools, universities, research institutions, and private laboratories
Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets
Client Relationship Management
Build, maintain, and grow strong, long-term relationships with clients
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, orders, and support
Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
Product Promotion & Demonstration
Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for clients
Educate customers on product usage, benefits, and value proposition
Customize solutions based on customer needs and laboratory requirements
Field Visits & Market Coverage
Plan and carry out regular field visits within the assigned area
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities
Expand market reach by identifying new regions and untapped clients
Sales Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and submit timely sales reports, forecasts, and activity logs
Track sales performance against targets and provide insights for improvement
Maintain updated customer database and sales pipeline
Market Intelligence
Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends
Provide feedback to management on customer needs and product performance
Recommend improvements or new product opportunities based on field insights
After-Sales Support
Ensure proper delivery and installation coordination of products where applicable
Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and promptly
Follow up on product performance and customer satisfaction
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
Diploma or Degree in any field (science-related field is an added advantage)
Proven experience in sales, marketing, or a related role
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently
Ability to work in a field-based role with frequent travel
Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment/products is an added advantage
