Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and trustworthy Finance & Accounting Officer to join the growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate accounting, supporting financial reporting, and maintaining strong financial controls in our dynamic business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports, statements, and management accounts as required.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Kenyan tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Assist with audit preparations and respond to internal and external audit queries.
  • Support administrative tasks related to finance as assigned by the departmental manager.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with the highest level of professionalism.
  • Provide necessary financial support and explanations.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
  • CPA (K) or ACCA qualification (or in progress with at least completion of Section II).

Experience:

  • At least 2–3 years of proven experience in finance and accounting.
  • Working with start-ups.
  • Filing returns.
  • Experience in payroll.

Skills / Capabilities:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (advanced level).
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and strong analytical skills.
